"Tau Tak per" - The new Malay catch phrase

Generally, from what I observe, Malays have this way of emulating each other especially with catch phrases or sound expression. Ok, to be fair, I wouldn’t even call it catch phrases because most of the time, it’s just plain dumb. It should just be called a drop phrase because it’s so dumb, no one caught it and it just dropped on the floor!

For now, the drop phrase is 'Tau tak per'. I don’t know what it is with this line. Generally for this phrase to come up you'd have to have a situation whereby, Ah Kow (bukan nama sebenar, fictional name) would have to ask a question to Ali (bukan nama sebenar, fictional name also). Ali, seeing that the answer was clear as day would ask a back a rethorical question and then by sudden enlightenment, AhKow would answer his own question and THEN Ali would "Tau takpe" taking the I'm-such-a-experienced-wiseass stance.

Sort of like the way Luke answered his own question when Yoda said "Search your feelings..". Did Yoda go like "Tau takpe.." to Luke??? Or okay, to be fair, did Yoda say "You know nevermind"???

This line has been used to rampantly; it sounds stupid and 'basi' already. Please I beg of you all who try to act smart, don't. Use some originality.

I was online with a chatfriend. I mentioned that I have a 21" TV. She said how come I don't have a big 42" TV. To which I replied I don't need to, I'm just happy that I can see my shows on this TV. Then she drops the bomb by saying "Tau takpe.."

Other drop phrases that’s outlived its time:
1. "Waacchhhaaa!"
2. "Yaaasshhhh!!"
3. "Mari mari mari"
4. "Beribu-ribu lemon"
5. "Ciau cin cau"
6. "Sure heboh"
7. "Boleh..Boleh Blah"

(The list is growing because I'm still hearing all these phrases)
